Whether you're at the beginning of your wholesale journey, in the middle of it or very well experienced, from my experience of Salehoo, the Wholesale Directory, there's plenty you can get from this great resource.
First and foremost, no matter what I think, understanding just what Salehoo is and isn't will go a long way towards you deciding one way or the other whether this resource is right for you.
Salehoo is a wholesale resource that you buy access to. You buy that access once and it lasts a lifetime, there're no ongoing/monthly fees.
Once you get into the members area of Salehoo, you will find that there are a host of wholesalers, dropshippers, manufacturers, producers and liquidators all with their contact details available to you.
These suppliers range from businesses who supply wholesale designer clothes, electronics, toys, tools, household goods, cell phones/mobile phones, gaming consoles, watches, jewellery - in fact the list is pretty huge and I could go on and on.
Now, what you will not find, no matter how long you search, unless you're really lucky and perhaps if you know the right people, is the contact details of most of these suppliers just listed on the web. Most of these suppliers are very guarded with their contact information or else they would be beseiged with phone calls and emails from fly by night scammers.
When you go through Salehoo to get the details of these people they know you are serious business people and they are more likely to do business with you.
The Salehoo staff spend time and money checking and vetting everyone in their Wholesale Directory. They routinely and anonymously buy stock from the suppliers on their lists and find out how the process works and if it matches up to the Salehoo stands. If it doesn't, then that supplier is gone from the Directory.
What the staff also do is check the payment options that each supplier offers. If the payment options are not secure, then again, that wholesaler is not listed. I mean, when you do business you want to know that if anything goes wrong you can get a full refund - that's important. Many of the scam websites you've probably found on your own offering wholesale stock take your money and there's no way to get it back. Salehoo checks that for you!
There's also a forum where knowledgeable business entrepreneurs, some of whom have massive turnovers, will answer your questions and give you additional information about the Salehoo list of suppliers and what you can expect when you deal with them.
